Tranquility in a quiet Spanish country home, all amenities close by!

Our renovated single storey house sits in over 2000m2 of land, a couple of kilometres from a lively village, golf course and sea side. In our home you can enjoy the changing light on the nearby mountains, keep an eye on the antics of the squirrels and birds in the pine grove, or watch the goldfish and terrapins in the pond. There are different areas, depending on the time of year and time of day, to enjoy sunshine or shade for your morning coffee, al fresco meals or sundowners; the secluded front patio edged by raised planters, a stepped terraced patio by the waterfall overlooking the orchard, the privacy of the walled patio around the pool, the birds eye view from the roof terrace overlooking orange and nispero groves.
There are two double bedrooms, each with a superking size bed. The master bedroom is air conditioned and is en-suite, with a hydromassage bath, step-in shower cubicle, bidet etc. The other bathroom has a large step in shower.
The bedrooms are separated by the beamed dining room and the spacious high beamed living room. You have use of WiFi, and satellite television. In winter, there is a log burner for a cosy fire.
The kitchen is large and well appointed, with filtered drinking water on tap, a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
There is an outside glazed room, overlooking the pool terrace, with a fridge freezer, gas griddle, washing machine and sink. This has a small double bed, but is really a family 'spill over summer room'!
There is an outdoor shower for use pre and post pool plunge, and shaded seating areas surrounded by herbs and hibiscus. The pump room is below the pool terrace.
There is ample private parking, even if you've traveled in a motor home to get here, you can park up and have a break!

Our home is also home to our affectionate pets, three spayed cats, and our medium sized spayed dog. Sometimes the dog comes with us on our travels sometimes she stays at home.

About the location

Airports: Alicante (50mins) or Valencia (75mins). Murcia San Javier is about 95 minutes away. We are about 5 km from the motorway junction.

The bustling local village, Altea la Vella, has 2 supermarkets, a fresh fruit and vegetable shop, a bio- organic shop, several cafe-bars and several more excellent restaurants, a bakery, a bank with cash point, a post office, newspaper store, tobacconist and a pharmacy. There are 2 hair salons and 2 vets. Don Cayo golf course is a 10 minute drive locally; Vilataina and Benidorm are about 15 minutes along the motorway, or half an hour through Altea and Albir, two very pleasant seaside resorts. There is a health spa a km away in the urbanisation of Santa Clara and the contrasting bright lights, late nights and shows of Benidorm are about 25 minutes away. There is a local taxi service to supplement that the local bus stop is a km nearer the village than the house, and the nearest train/train stop is about 6 km away, 'La Olla'. There are quiet country roads for strolling, or steeper hikes into the Sierra Bernia. Kayak and boat hire is available at the beach, about 6 km away at Cap Negret and Porto Senso.
