Lovely 4 Bed home in Farnham, England

Our house is detached, in a quiet cul de sac of 36 houses, on the outskirts of Farnham. One end of the road opens directly (only on foot), into Farnham Park, which is 320 acres of mediaeval Deer Park. At one end of the park is Farnham Castle which dominates the town. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the castle through the park, and down to the town.

It is a 1930’s, 4 bedroomed house that comprises a large sitting room, with wood burning stove. The dining room adjoins the kitchen. There is another separate sitting room at the front of the house which Nick uses as a ‘music room’ to practice his playing; it also has a television and hi-fi system.. There are 2 double bedrooms, (one has a shower ensuite) and 2 single bedrooms. There is one bathroom, which is small, (but adequate) and a separate toilet.

Our garden is good sized, and has a patio with large oval wooden table and chairs, well stocked flower garden and small vegetable ‘patch’.

Farnham is a beautiful historic town with some small shops and plenty of restaurants. There is some beautiful countryside around with wonderful walks; this includes Frensham Ponds, Hindhead, Tilford and many small villages.

Farnham station is 15 minutes walk with a direct line to London with a journey time of 45 minutes. Windsor Castle is only 40 minutes by car, and the RHS garden at Wisley is 30 minutes. Historic Portsmouth is easily accessible by train, and a ferry then accesses the Isle of Wight if wished.
