Oaklands Farmhouse is a pretty Grade II listed farmhouse, recently renovated. Located in the typical English village of Wistow, the house overlooks the beautiful village church. Wistow has a village pub and traditional fish and chip chop.

The next village along is Cawood, famous for having accommodated many royals and where Oliver Cromwell stayed and made famous the rhyme, Humpty Dumpty - Cawood has that wall! Cawood has three pubs and a local village shop. Sleby, an old mining town, is just 2 miles away and has all the usual amenities.

Wistow is within close proximity (15 miles) to the historic walled city of York with its famous Minster, cobbled streets and many historic landmarks. York has many places to eat and drink as well as theatres, river cruises and ghost tours.

The house itself is very spacious and decorated to a very high standard with many limited edition prints by local artists. There are two staircases in the property. The first leads to three king size bedrooms; the master bedroom has an ensuite bath and shower room as well as an open fire and views overlooking the church. The second bedroom has a wood burning stove and the house bathroom has a double steam shower, twin sinks and a claw foot cast iron bath.

The second staircase leads to two very large bedrooms and separate seating area along with a private bath/shower room.

Downstiars is a lovely farmhouse kitchen with a 3 oven Aga, a fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining room/snug has views of the church, a feature open fireplace and a family dining table. The pretty lounge has a large wood burning stove, big leather sofas and a large TV/DVD.

This is a great family house. We are sure you will love it. The garden is small but functional with parking for two cars and outside seating areas.
