We live in a large Edwardian, detatched house, about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. It is a quiet residential road overlooking school playing fields. Taunton is a traditional market town with good facilities.
We have a large sitting room, music room (drum kit, piano etc.) study, dining room, kitchen, utility room and family room. 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Just 15 minutes from the house are the Quantock hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, very good walking country. Dartmoor and Exmoor can be reached in an hour or less.
Good train services to Exeter, Bath, Bristol and London (two and a half hours). M5 motorway 2 miles. By car it is 50 minutes to Bristol, 30 minutes to Exeter and about 50 minutes to the South Devon and Dorset coasts.
Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Minehead and Exmouth are easily reached. Glastonbury, Wells and the Somerset levels are about 40 minutes.
