Lovely 2 Bed home in LEIDEN, THE NETHERLANDS
Our house is a modern (1991) house-in-a-row with 100 sq.m. living space and a small garden. It is situated on the edge of historic Leiden in a quiet neighborhood amidst other rows of houses, apartment buildings and some offices. 15 minutes walking takes you to the city centre. Leiden was one of the largest cities of the Dutch Republic, as is still very noticeable in its 16th and 17th century buildings and canals. It is also a thoroughly modern city, with many and varied shops, good restaurants, a theatre and cinemas. A shopping centre is close by, and a railway station is at 700 m. Amsterdam can be reached in 40 min. by train or car, The Hague in 15 and Rotterdam in 30; Schiphol Airport is 20 min. away. To the beach at Katwijk is 8 km, and the famous flower bulb fields (blossoming in early spring) begin just outside Leiden.
