Lovely 2 Bed home in ISLE OF SKYE, SCOTLAND

Idyllic Highland cottage looking out onto a sea loch surrounded by glorious countryside, 250 miles north of Edinburgh on the stunning, romantic Isle of Skye. Very accessible as Skye has a bridge to the mainland. A completely different world, almost a trip back in time. Incredibly peaceful with beautiful sea lochs, beaches and mountains. Fantastic walks, mountaineering, fishing, horse-riding, boat trips to see seals or other islands, visits to castles and restaurants serving local seafood (we are near the famous Three Chimneys restaurant).

Our cottage is a real rural retreat. It is not ultra sophisticated - it doesn't have a dishwasher - but it has an open fire, a woodburning stove and lots of character. It is comfy (please email for more photos) and decorated in a country style. Well-behaved children are welcome and there is a sandpit, climbing frame etc. and a lovely garden to run around in. Our children, age 4 and 1, are used to looking after beautiful homes - our house in Edinburgh (see other listing, HE18513) has white carpets! The cottage has the most fabulous, ever-changing views in all directions and one feels as if one is at the edge of the world yet we have lovely neighbours close by. Shops are not too far either which makes our little escape convenient too. Winter is almost better than summer - with huge empty spaces and dramatic weather changes and a curiously mild (relatively speaking!) climate. Summer brings more people but is great for lazing on a deckchair on long sunny evenings. Probably the most relaxing place that we've ever been too: the Isle of Skye is unique and very, very special.

Please note we would like to go to the Caribbean in the winter only and Europe in the Spring/Summer/Autumn (except Canaries/Cyprus/ski destinations which can be in winter.)
