About the location

Ashe County is in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Northwest corner of North Carolina. Virginia state line is 15 miles north of cabin. Blue Ridge Parkway is 10 miles from cabin. Blue Ridge Parkway is a scenic highway that connects the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia with the Great Smokey National Park in North Carolina/Tennessee, roughly 350 miles in length. Cabin is located on the federally protected South Fork of the New River and is only one mile from the headquarters and campground of the New River State Park.
