The apartment is a self contained unit on the top floor of a detached house in a residential area situated on the slopes of Grouse mountain overlooking downtown Vancouver. The apartment was added in 1999 and has all modern conveniences. My daughter lives in the other part of the building.
Vancouver is only 15 minutes away and the skiing resort of Whistler some 90 minutes away. There is skiing locally on Grouse; Cypress and Seymour mountains. In the summer there are nearby facilities for sailing and other waterborne sports as well as hiking and horse riding.
