Our home was built in 1974 and is about 3,500 sq. ft. It stands in five acres surround by fields. We have four double bedrooms. The master bedroom with 6ft. bed has a large sliding glass door which leads to the balcony that overlooks the countryside. There is a large en suite with bath, twin basins, shower room and steam room. Further accommodation includes house bathroom, formal lounge, snug lounge with large inglenook fireplace, dining room, large dining kitchen, laundry room.
In the grounds of the house are two ponds. Surrounding the property is a patio area with a large expanse of lawn. This leads directly to open fields. There are superb views over the surrounding countryside. It is situated in a quiet semi-rural location and is within easy reach of Shakespear’s Stratford-upon-Avon (20 minutes) with its fine restaurants, renowned theatres and river walks. There is also easy access to all the Cotswolds villages.
Further on through the Cotswolds there are the university towns of Oxford and Cambridge. From our home London can be reached by train in 1hr. 35minutes. This is any easy day trip destination. Being centrally located in the heart of England access to the north and west is also very convenient. We are seeking an exchange to NSW Australia area from around early December 2010 or January 2011 for around 3/4weeks (negotiable). Consider other suggestions elsewhere at any other time. Non simultaneous exchange is possible.
