Lovely 2 Bed home in BLANZAY, France

A typical French village home with modern kitchen and full bath. 35 minutes from Poitiers the provincial capital, a lovely formerly Roman city and a university town with plenty to see and do.
The house is rustic, but comfortable and private. The property is completly enclosed by an old stone wall and gate. Blanzay is a lovely village with welcoming neighbors, both French & English; a charming 12th century Romanesque church; a café/restaurant serving food & wine at reasonable prices; a bakery with good french bread and pastries; a post office; and a small grocery. We are only 5 minutes from the town Civray,which has a livly open-air market every Tuesday & Friday. Rail & airline connections are close by & easily accessible. Paris is only 1&1/2 hours away by highspeed train from the Poitiers station. The village is a little over an hour from the Loire Valley castles. Only 2 hours from the Atlantic coast beaches. and 1&1/2 hours from Limoges and the central mountains (Massif Central).
A bi-lingual(English/French) friend, who lives nearby, is available to help our guests with any and all questions or problems, and to take care of any maintenence needs.
There is a large English-speaking community in the area, and English is also understood by many of the local French residents. There is a primate park about 5 miles away called la Vallée de Singes (Monkey valley in english) It's a great attraction for the kids and adults too. none of the amimals are caged, but are kept in large fenced-in natural park like
areas. Poitiers holds lots of attactions for everyone: sidewalk cafés, good restaurants, old romans walls beautiful romanesques churches, a good museums, and a great city park (Blossac) with amusments for the kuds and a zoo of small animals and birds. Civray a lovly town aout 5 minutes from us offfers a twice weekly market and lovely walks in the park along the banks of the Charante River.
