Our house is situated on the outskirts of the historical county town of Hertford. Hertford has many cafes and restaurants and of course a Castle with lovely gardens. We are 5 minutes from a main line station that gets you into London in less than 30 minutes. Cambridge is an hour's easy drive away. It is about a 20 minute walk into town, or a short bus ride, but the local shops, including a fish & chip shop are good and are just at the end of the road. We are only 20 minutes away from the M25 and M1 so access to the whole country is easy by road. There are 2 train stations in Hertford providing frequent services to all areas.
About the location
We are on the edge of the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. There are many walks close by and yet we are also close to Hertford town and Welwyn garden City.
It is a quiet area, but has all the local amenities.
