Semi detached bungalow close to Dartmoor - Bovey Tracey

Our home is contemporary, light and airy, small but comfortable and easy to manage. It is in a cul-de-sac and is quiet and private. There is off-road parking. We face south west, and enjoy some open views over the rooftops to Dartmoor. The sitting room overlooks the front garden, with doors to a small deck. The kitchen is very light and also looks to the front of the house. The bedrooms overlook the rear garden; they both have standard double beds, one is en-suite. Both shower-rooms have walk in showers (No baths). The dining room is open plan with the kitchen; there is a door to the sitting room and a door to the entrance hall. The kitchen is well laid out, with an induction hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The utility room has a washing machine and a dryer. At the top of the garden is a seating area with table and chairs.
HD television, WiFi broadband, gas fire.

Sorry - but our home is not suitable for young children or pets.
NOTE: If searching on Google streetview, the image is old, from November 2008.

About the location

Bovey Tracey, the "Gateway to Dartmoor", is a small town (pop 7,000) with a variety of shops and pubs. The town centre is a five minute walk away.
The Devon Guild of Craftsmen, based beside the river in the middle of the town, is one of the best art/craft galleries in the country and has a shop, exhibition space and cafe.
Dartmoor National Park, the prime tourist attraction in the south west of England, covers an area of about 400sq miles. It is a fabulous place for sightseeing, hiking and finding some solitude.
There are easy walks from the house, through woods and beside the river Bovey. A level 10km off road cycle path to Newton Abbot is close by, also a 16km off road path to Moretonhampstead, as well as more challenging routes.
There are many places to eat locally, from takeaways to cosy pubs to Gidleigh Park, one of the country`s top restaurants, with 2 Michelin stars. The historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth can be reached in about half an hour, as can the coast at Torquay, Teignmouth and Brixham.
The picturesque towns of Totnes and Dartmouth are also a must-see on a visit to Devon.
Further afield is the rugged coast of North Devon (a drive of about an hour and a half ), and much of Cornwall is easily accessible in under two hours.

Our nearest airport is Exeter (30 minutes drive), then Bristol (1.5 hours drive). The nearest train station is 10km away at Newton Abbot.
Taxis and car hire are readily available locally. Bovey Tracey is on a bus route.
