20-year-old fusion of traditional Japanese and modern Western architecture in small community an hour by our own new 4-car subway line (or bicycle along the river) and the up-scale Tokyu train line (trains every 8 minutes) to Shibuya, one of Tokyo's downtowns.
House overflowing with English-language books. Oversized TV. Good sound system with mostly classical CDs. Easy access to two good public baths and several good restaurants: French, Italian, fish, and soba noodles. We will provide detailed suggestions/instructions and, if it seems right, are even prepared to take a day or two to show you around. Awkward point: you have to back the car down a hill into the driveway (but you don't really need a car).
