Santes Creus was a cistercian monastery founded by 1150. After some centuries, part of the houses and stores of the old monastery were sold and up to now have been inhabited by families. Nowadays, it is a very special village surrounded by forests and close to the main routes to explore Catalonia. It is very close to Tarragona (30 minutes by car) and its beautiful beaches, and also to Barcelona (1 hour drive) with its huge cultural offer. In Santes Creus you can enjoy a very relaxing holiday: the old courtyard of the monastery is now a meeting point where children and families meet to play and chat at dawn; the five restaurants of the place offer a good choice to eat out and the nearby swimming pool is good enough to wind down after a busy sightseeing day. Moreover, the house has a patio very nice at night to feel the magic of the place.

We are a family of four: Lluis Albert (41) is a comic book creator, Julia (38) is a teacher, Maria (12) and Pau (1). We enjoy travelling to discover new places and other ways of living. We have restored our house in Santes Creus and now is a very special place for us, quite simple but with the basic requirements to spend a nice time. There, we love to walk, to cicle, to receive friends... Our children are very quiet and respectful of things, but they are allergic, so we cannot live in houses with animals or smoking people. We will treat your property with respect as we expect you to do. We would like to exchange for fifteen days in July-August but could do a non-simultaneous exchange since we only use the house in summer.
