Our home is a double storey house in the riverside suburb of Attadale.

The house has four bedrooms with each bedroom having its own ensuite and toilet. The main upstairs bedroom has a spa bath in the ensuite along with a large walk in robe and seperate dressing room.We currently have bedding for six people but more beds can be added to Bedrooms 2 and 3 as these are very large rooms.

There are spacious living areas which include a family/meals area adjoining an alfresco meals area with B. B. Q. facilities overlooking a large outdoor pool and gazebo.

There is also a separate lounge room, dining room, study and children’s game room equipped with their own T. V. and video/dvd player, pool table and various electronic games consoles. A table tennis table is set up for use in the large garage.

The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cook top and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

The laundry has an automatic washer and a clothes dryer is also available (not really required in an Australian summer!!).

The house is fully equipped with three T. V. 's, two V. C. R. 's, a D. V. D. player, two computers with internet connection and a HiFi system. The house is also fully air-conditioned and has fully reticulated gardens.

Weekly house cleaning and pool maintenance can be organised if required.

OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

Our home is situated in the beautiful and quiet riverside suburb of Perth.

It is a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Swan River along which a bike/walk path will take you to the City of Perth or to the historical City of Fremantle. If you wish to drive, Perth is an easy 20 minute drive away and Fremantle a 10 minute drive away.

Perth is a modern city with a relaxing and casual atmosphere and is very well suited for all summer activities.

The city of Fremantle still contains many historical buildings and because it is home to many European immigrants it has some wonderful restaurants and is the home port for a large fishing industry.

Within walking distance from our home is the river with all its playgrounds and parks, a shopping center, tennis courts, several family restaurants and cafes and a bakery. Within a short driving distance you have available a public golf course, water adventure play park,skate board park, a library, a health club and kilometers and kilometers of beautiful sandy beaches for swimming and surfing (the best in the world! ! ! ) ,sailing clubs, shopping malls,museums, theatres, galleries and some great boutique breweries.

A 45 minute drive away is The Swan Valley Wine Growing Region and a 3 hour drive away is the world renowned Margaret River Wine Growing Region along with its other fantastic tourist attractions.

OTHER INFORMATION

We have available for your use five bikes of various sizes (more can be arranged if required) and two surf skis for use on the river or at the beach.

We also have available for use a small 5 seater sedan.If required arrangements may be possible for the use of our other car which is a seven seater Volvo XC90.

Some of my family members live close by and will be more than happy to help solve any problems you may encounter.

Most of my family can speak Italian fluently and if required I have a family member close by that can speak German and a little French if required.

My name is Bruno and I am a 49 year old company director. I am a mad soccer fan but enjoy watching all types of sports. My wife Amanda is more or less (really more) my age and most of her time is taken up with our children, our home and some part time work. She hates all sports but enjoys arts and crafts, cooking and shopping.

We both enjoy travelling and experiencing new foods, wines and lifestyles. We have traveled as a family many times to Europe for long periods and I have family ties to the Valtellina region of Italy and my wife has family ties in the south of England.

We have done two home exchanges to date, one to Brussels in December 2004 and one to Brighton, England in December 2006 and we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the whole experience and are looking forward to doing this sort of holiday again.

We have three children. Alexander - he is 18 y. o., Isabella - she is 12 years old and Simone - he is 10 years old. They are all house trained and well behaved (most of the time) and will accompany us on our travels.We have a pet poodle which will be looked after by other family members.

Our aim in this home exchange is for our family to experience another Northern Hemisphere Christmas in a new and interesting area and maybe get to do some more snow skiing (knees permitting!!!).
