Family home with lots of toys and a charming cat 14 minutes by train to London Bridge

You will find everything you need for a family with children in this large, recently renovated ex local authority town house. If the children need to let off steam after a long day at the museums, there is a playground 5 minutes from our house, and they will enjoy getting to know our friendly cat Matilda (guess who named the cat!). Hither Green has lots of parks but is highly accessible to London, which is a reason many families live here. A Sainsbury's local is conveniently located less than 5 minutes walk, and the property has a private driveway. We have a piano in the lounge and even a hammock which you can hang up in the garden should you wish to do so. We have one large double bedroom, a study, the first children's bedroom with a bunk bed and a second smaller children's bedroom with a loft bed. Our guest bedroom can be made up with one or two beds. We have plenty of toys and books for children aged 0 - 10.

We have a small (reasonable size for London) garden with a table and 6 chairs for those hot summer evenings.

About the location

Hither Green is a family area in South east London with excellent transport links (14 minutes to London Bridge from Hither Green station which is 10 minutes walk for an adult). The West End (Chairing Cross) is about 20 minutes by train. Whenever we have visitors, we take a walk via Blackheath village to the Royal Greenwhich Park and the Royal Observatory (about 40 minutes). From there, we visit Greenwich market and then take the Thames Clipper boat to the South Bank via Big Ben, Tower Bridge and all the sights. We also live 5 minutes from a Hindu temple which we sometimes take visitors to see, we have always been welcome to walk in respectfully and marvel at the many statues!
Most days in the morning the police horses walk down our streets on their daily exercise which is always something our kids enjoy!
