Cosy cottage in historic Norfolk village
This is our home, we have over 30 years, renovated it from a farm worker`s home, it is about 200 years old. It is the end cottage of a terrace in the middle of the village. We have retained many of the old features, a range fireplace and bread oven, pamment floors and a wrap around cottage garden.
There is a modern large open kitchen and dining room with french windows, and a cosy living room with large corner sofa and staircase. Upstairs are two double rooms and an office room with sofabed. A bathroom upstairs has a roll top bath, downstairs is a modern shower and wc room. A garden room is our latest renovation, a quiet place to sit and relax.
About the location
We are 12 miles from medieval Norwich, 10 miles from the Victorian seaside town of Cromer. Seven miles away is the village of Happisburgh with a famous lighthouse and pub. The beautiful sandy beaches of Norfolk are all easy to reach, plus the seal colony at Horsey, and the Norfolk Broads. We have a a railway station in the village, connecting to both Norwich and London, Cromer, and our nearest town North Walsham.
Our village is the historic place where the woollen fabric of Worstead was created in the C13th,with a huge parish church , medieval houses connected to the wool trade and a popular pub.
