Two minutes walk from the beach.

Our lovely detached home is set back from the road in mature gardens.

We have a comfortable sitting room and a quirky open plan kitchen/dining room as well as a utility room and two small rooms currently used as studies. There are two good sized bedrooms, both with double beds as well as a sofa-bed in our huge conservatory.

Enjoy breakfast on the patio, or in the conservatory.

We have a gravel drive with parking for three or four cars.

Gas central heating and attractive gas fires keep us cosy in the winter. The hob and oven are also gas.

Although we are just two minutes from the beach, the garden is sheltered and very quiet.

About the location

Freshwater is a small, old fashioned seaside town. There are are a couple of supermarkets and also a local butcher, baker and fish-monger, as well as pharmacies, newsagents and bric-a-brac shops etc.

There is a thriving community centre with a large indoor pool and a gym etc.

A number of good pubs and restaurants serve local beers and great food; including four that are directly on the west facing seafront.

Our road is a cul-de-sac which ends at a slipway down to the sea, where there is a bar/restaurant, a beach shop with local ice-creams and a paddle board shack. A short walk along the sea wall is rewarded with a view of the Needles a couple of miles to the west. The beach can get busy in high season and on sunny days.

The area is also a walkers paradise, and the climb up to the Tennyson Monument is well worth it for the breathtaking views.

We have an excellent bus service which can be used to explore the whole of the Isle of Wight.
