The area is famous for luscious summers, fall colors and world class skiing. Rivers and lakes abound and all manner of outdoor sports are available. The home is two minutes walk from the Appalachian trail for hiking, as well as miles of cross country skiing and snow shoe trails. Several great ski mountains within 30 minutes drive. 2 hours from Boston, 5 hours to NYC.
