Countryside retreat close to Edinburgh - Longnewton

Peaceful retreat close to Edinburgh with amazing views. My home is a traditional country terraced house, over 3 floors in a beautiful spot, surrounded by rolling countryside.

There are 3 bedrooms, One is a very large bright living/ bedroom with a king-size bed, desk, sofa and wood-burning stove and windows both to the north and south overlooking the garden and hills. The second is also quite large with king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The third is smallish with a double bed. There is also a separate bathroom with very comfortable bathtub with a view of the garden. The kitchen is large and well set up with dining table and doors out to a patio, small lawn area and a well-stocked vegetable garden which you are very welcome to pick from. There is a sitting room with wood burning stove, computer and tv with Netflix and BBC Iplayer.

About the location

We are 40 minutes drive from the historic and vibrant city of Edinburgh for culture, 20 minutes from beautiful beaches and world-class golfing, 5 minutes to the quaint rural village of Gifford with a friendly restaurant/pub. It is also a great area for nature, walking, horse riding and cycling. The house and garden are very comfortable, this is a tranquil, bright space with amazing views that offers the best of all worlds.

The house is well placed as a relaxing base for exploring the UK, just a few hours drive from the rest of Scotland, the highlands are unmissable and close links to trains and airports if you would like to visit London, York, Brighton or Bath, there are many beautiful cities or Ireland is close by very cheap airfare and only 1 hour flight when you`re here. You will need a car at my home, (I`m happy to share my VW Golf) for the 40-minute drive to the city, 5 minutes to the village, 20-minute drive to the train station.
