Our beautiful home is a 100 years old character clinker brick character home situated in a quiet, mature suburb within five minutes walk of the centre of New Plymouth (population 60,000). We have almost completely renovated our home in keeping with the 1920s style. Heat pumps in the lounge, library and all bedrooms, and log burner for ambience keeps us warm in winter and cool in summer.

The home is 150 sq m on a 600 sq m section with professionally designed and executed landscaping which provides a great indoor/outdoor flow and a well protected area for al fresco dining. The ceiling height of 3 metres, the use of bold colours and lighting by crystal chandeliers gives this property creates a lush and relaxing environment to live in.

Schools and shops and recreational facilities are within easy walking distance, as are the swimming pool and coastal walkway which has made New Plymouth famous.

About the location

New Plymouth is the provincial capital of Taranaki (population of 100,000) which was named as the Second Best Region in the World to travel by Lonely Planet Best of Travel 2017.

With Mt Taranaki sitting almost in our back yard (15 minutes drive from our home), we can ski on the mountain in the morning and then carve up some of the best surfing waves in the world that same afternoon.
