Dragon House - Brassington

Our house is a 17th century listed building in a traditional limestone Derbyshire village on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The house was renovated throughout in 2006 and has underfloor heating and a log burning stove. We are in the centre of Brassington, which is a quiet small village, close to the towns of Ashbourne, Matlock and Wirksworth. We have off road parking and an enclosed walled garden.

About the location

Brassington is an historic village set on the edge of the Peak District National Park. There are two excellent pubs in the village serving food, including the 17th century Olde Gate Inn. The popular and beautiful Carsington Water is a two minute drive from the house, great for walking, sailing and cycling. And there are lovely walks from the doorstep in every direction.

Attractions close by include Alton Towers (18 miles), Dovedale (13 miles), Chatsworth House (14 miles) and Bakewell (11 miles).

Neatest railway station is Cromford (4 miles, with connections to Derby)

Nearest airports are East Midlands (22 miles), Manchester (40 miles).
