Gateway to the fjords, Bergen

Our house is large, (300 m2), and situated in a large garden (1700 m2) in a quiet dead end street within a quiet area. The house is practical and comfortable and has all the equipment you would expect to find in a modern house. Upstairs is a large and bright living room with fireplace, stove, a big sofa, piano and dining room. There is a TV-room with a big sofa.The kitchen is fully equipped kitchen with a large kitchen table. There are three bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and bath tub, and a laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a small bathroom with a toilet. Downstairs are two really large bedrooms, and a small bathroom with a toilet. We have both piano and guitars enjoyed by Intervac friends. Groceries and a big shopping centre is three minutes away by car. From our home you may walk in quiet streets with little traffic and reach woods, playgrounds, football courts, big trampolines, all free to use.

Bergen is called the gateway to the fjords. National Geographic describes the Norwegian fjord landscape as "amazing and aesthetically one of the most beautiful in the world. The icons of Norway are so unique that it is difficult to imagine anything else. In addition to scenery, the fjords also offer opportunities like fjord cruise with classic boats, visting farms with fruit and local produce, family parks, hiking, walking on glaciers, visiting salmon farms and hydropower stations, kayaking...

Bergen is an old and lively city. Founded in 1070 and situated by the sea, Bergen has one of Europes biggest and busiest ports, mainly because of all the cruise ships. The tourists come to see the city of Bergen, with the surrounding mountains and fjords.Nice things to do in Bergen with or without children are: Take the cable train to the top of the mountains Fløyen or Ulriken, see "the warf of Bergen", visit the fish market, walk in narrow cobbled streets and visit the many different bakeries, see Bergen aquarium with seal and penguin shows, sharks, reptiles...go swimming at Badeland with numerous slides.
