The Long Barn

The Long Barn is an old stone, single-storey, whitewashed barn. It has private entrance, accommodation and outside space, set in tranquil and secluded gardens down a quiet country lane leading, in a few minutes amble, to a safe and secluded beach.

Driving distances can be deceptive, but everywhere from Killarney in the north to Blarney Castle in the east is a relatively easy day trip. But you needn`t go further than a couple of miles for spectacular beaches and great food!

About the location

Renowned as an artistic retreat, the headland of Reen must be one of the most tranquil spots in Europe, let alone Ireland. You might possibly hear a fishing boat chugging the old trawling grounds off the coast. Otherwise your aural landscape is likely to be limited to birdsong, the wind in the leaves, and the distant crash of surf. It is an ideal spot for relaxation, unwinding, de-stressing and generally taking a time-out from the frantic pace of modern life.
