Le Chene Vert is an old farmhouse in the longere style of the region.

It is completely set on its own in private walled gardens with sunny pool and terrace enjoying superb views over the Vendee countryside.

The house sleeps 8 in three large bedrooms upstairs - two kingsize and one twin, plus a kids bedroom and games room downstairs.
There is an upstairs shower room and a main bathroom downstairs with bath and overhead shower.
Downstairs there is lots of space for one or two families with a large sitting room boasting a flat screen TV and freeview box showing UK programmes, so you don`t
miss any of your favourites, plus a DVD and video player.
The kids can help themselves to a host of DVDs to watch or alternatively you can enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet and banish them to the games room with XBox and TV.
There is also a stylish and relaxing dining room if you ever get fed up of BBQs!
Well-equipped with a wide selection of toys, books, DVDs, magazines and games you`ll never be spoilt for something to do - even if it rains!

Le Chene Vert`s secluded location, at the heart of the Haute Bocage, in the Vendee region of the Loire Atlantique, offers you the kind of French holiday of your dreams - peaceful, restful, nestled in truly beautiful countryside, with nature right on your doorstep. The sun shines down on the Vendee for an amazing 2,500 hours a year and is recorded as the second sunniest region after the South of France. It`s known for its fields of sunflowers, which in summer stretch as far as the eye can see.

Take an early morning walk and see wild dear nibbling on the hedgerows, red and chocolate brown squirrels will run right in front of you and catch a glimpse of birds long forgotten in England. In the evening see our friendly owl sitting on the eaves and wait for the bats to come out as dusk approaches.

On the other hand, this superb holiday home is only an hour away from some of the best beaches in Western France, like the bustling Sables d`Olonne and the cosmopolitan La Rochelle, and close to some of France`s most popular attractions including the Puy de Fou and Futuroscope, so if you have young children you`ll get the best of both worlds.

On top of all that, its location means it`s the perfect base for touring the host of nearby chateaux, vineyards and all the other lovely things that France does so very well.

La Rochelle, Nantes, Tours and Poitiers Airports are close by and it is also easily accessible from all the ports and ferry terminals.
