Derbyshire Village - edge of the Peak District

Small townhouse in the village of Duffield, between Derby and Matlock. Good bus and rail links. Village shops are small but have everything. One king size bed and one small bedroom with a single bed. Small kitchen well equipped. Shower room. Shared garden and parking as house is in a block of 13 townhouses. Wifi. No TV, computers available. House is small and basic, but has all you need. Area is quiet, good for light sleepers!

About the location

Derbyshire is great for walking and cycling. We have a shelf full of walking books and maps. We are also in a good location for visiting stately homes such us Kedleston Hall, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Calke Abbey etc, all very near at hand. Good transport links to visit other cities such as York, Robin Hood country in Nottinghamshire, London is about 1 hour 40 minutes by train, etc. Previous house swappers have visited Manchester football ground and other sporting venues as well. There is a good community feel to the village and the people are friendly.
