stylish but kid-friendly gem 10 mins from city centre on a huge park with river

The bungalow is 6 km or 3 miles from the city centre of Frankfurt am Main in a "sweet spot" 2 mins. from the underground station Hausen (trains take 13 mins. direct to centre/Hauptwache, every 7-10 mins, for Eur 1,80) and 2 mins from the enormous Niddapark (rivers, meadows, woods, several playgrounds, water playground, 2 cafes and miles of walking, running and biking space with views of nature and the Frankfurt skyline). Within a mile are the largest outdoor pool in Europe (Brentanobad) set in landscaped park with mature trees, beer garden and library tent, and the student district Bockenheim with a lot of places to eat.

The city centre offers a really large variety of shops, museums and art galleries, as well as beach clubs in summer, which is much warmer than in England, and it may be possible to ski cross country in the Taunus hills a few kms north in winter.

Heidelberg is an easy daytrip and so are the Rhine Valley, wine areas and much more - just an hour each way or boat from the city centre to the Rhine Valley.

The bungalow has 2 children's bedrooms upstairs with a single bed each, one has a ladder to get in. The living room has 2 single sofa beds which can be combined to make a double 1m80 wide. There is a double 1m 40 wide in the basement spare bedroom if preferred - this room has a small window at about ground level and central heating.

Renovation was started last year with new windows, heating, kitchen, door and most of the floors. There are no carpets, only marble, tile and parquet at ground level. The corridor to the guest room downstairs is currently unrenovated with old linoleum. The cloakroom (or 2nd toilet) is unrenovated (pink) but functional. They might be renovated by summer. The basement guest room is renovated but the floor is white-painted concrete.

There is a newly fully fenced garden in an L shape. There is grass at the back and shrubs at the front.

Parking is available on the street for free.

About the location

The area is a residential cul-de-sac on the edge of the Niddapark. The neighbours are very international and quiet - French, Italian, Spanish, German, Dutch, American, Japanese. .. mostly couples and families and certainly there are very kind neighbours who could and would help should a problem arise that I could not solve over the 'phone. The gigantic park is 250m one way and the Ubahn/metro station is 250m the other way. This gives VERY fast access to all city life and runs until 1 a.m.
